Former National Security Agency Employees Greg and Elaine Fedchak

Greg and Elaine Fedchak of Boonville, New York, have both worked at the National Security Agency in Fort Meade, Maryland. Mrs. Fedchak served the agency in the areas of cryptologic mathematics and cryptanalysis professionalization, while her husband worked as a Korean linguist. Following her time with the National Security Agency, she worked as a programmer and analyst with IIT Research Institute in Rome, New York, followed by nearly two decades as a cybersecurity research and data analyst at ITT/Exelis. Her husband, meanwhile, has spent decades as an award-winning newspaper columnist, short story writer, and artist. His paintings, which have been displayed in both solo and group shows, typically express abstract techniques and sensibilities.

Greg and Elaine Fedchak are avid gardeners, especially when it comes to growing African violets. They previously owned a sheep farm together. Mrs. Fedchak has also spent 35 years as the organist for the Forestport Presbyterian Church. Together, they are supporters of the Frederic Remington Art Museum in Ogdensburg.
